Tour Description

This guided tour is ideal for first time visitors or all who look for a compact introduction to the city. The leisurely walk with a private guide leads through the downtown area and passes the most significant attractions. From the market square with the town hall, along the busy boulevard Kroepeliner Street with its restored merchant homes, to the bustling University Square lined with art work and historic buildings. See Rostock's university (est. 1419), the Holy Cross Convent, parts of the town wall and pay a visit to St. Marien Church with the famous Astronomical Clock. Your personable tour guide will relate to past and present in the city and share some stories and insight into the life of the locals.
This tour is also available as a panoramic bus tour including the quarters around the old town, the industrial estates and a swing around Warnemuende at the Baltic Sea. Or a combination of overview drive and shorter walking tour. If you are travelling with your own touring vehicle, the guide will join at the rate of the walking tour. If transportation is needed, we will be happy to send an individual quote.
