Discover the Hanseatic city of Rostock and charming Schwerin and its fairytale castle. A wonderful combination tour. The guide meets you directly at the cruise center. Start the day with a short introduction to the seaside resort Warnemuende and head to Rostock by train and tram to explore the old town on foot. A comprehensive tour including the town hall, market square, university, town wall and main boulevard will give you an impression of this over 800 year old Hanseatic town. Then continue again by local train through the lovely countryside of Mecklenburg to Schwerin. The afternoon will be dedicated to this lovely town. Pay a visit to the pretty castle and wander around the charming old town. The guide will take you on a guided tour of the inner city with its splendid villas, the cathedral and market square. A special highlight is the stroll through the palace gardens boasting with photo opportunities. You will also explore the magnificent inside of the castle with a live museum guide or audio-guide (subject to availability).
Also enjoy some time at leisure for lunch or shopping during the time spend in Schwerin. You will return to Warnemuende in the early evening with a basket full of impressions.
